Membership buys you a subscription to the award-winning Journal of the Fort Smith Historical Society. It also plugs you in to a community of people passionate about preserving, exploring and celebrating the history of the city and its surrounding area. Educating the public to the area’s past through the Journal is our chief mission. There are plenty of opportunities for new members to participate in the publication and in other projects like the Web site, too.
