The Fort Smith Historical Society’s August meeting will feature Fort Smith National Historic Site Volunteer, Justin Minor, as guest speaker. He will discuss archaeology digs at the Fort and how secrets still hidden beneath the soil are located, recovered, and preserved.
The meeting will be held August 19 in the Carnegie Room of the Fort Smith Public Library’s Main Branch on Rogers Avenue. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A LOCATION CHANGE FROM THE ORIGINAL POST. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the program to follow at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
